The National Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, on Tuesday said that the party would compensate loyal members.
He made this known when the Goodluck Support Group (GSG) Elders
Council, led by former Deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Mantu, visited him at
the party`s national headquarters, Abuja.
Mu `azu, who was responded to complaints that loyal party
members had not be adequately compensated, added that PDP would provide a level
playing ground for all members.

Meanwhile, Mu`azu has urged all PDP support groups not to be
“Abuja politicians’’, but to embark on grassroots mobilisation for the party
ahead of 2015 general elections.
He also assured that due consultation would be carried out with
major party stakeholders before critical decisions were taken in order to carry
all party members along.
Earlier, Mantu told the chairman that “all those who have been
working for the party have not been adequately compensated.
“I urge the chairman to look into such anomaly and ensure that
loyal members are compensated,’’ Mantu said.
Mantu commended Mu`azu for his stance against bribery, adding
that such position would bring sanity to the party and the society at large.
He urged the party national chairman to constitute a
reconciliation committee to bring all aggrieved party members back to its fold.
He also tasked the national chairman to commence e-registration
of party members to know the total number of PDP members and the strength of
the party in each state of the federation.
The national coordinator of the group and Special Adviser to
President Goodluck Jonathan on Political Matters, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak, called on
the opposition to appreciate the developmental stride of Jonathan.
He added that plans were underway to showcase the achievements
of Jonathan to Nigerians across the six geo-political zones of the federation.
