ANIEKAN UMANAH’S HYPOCRISY: WHEN JUDAS COMES TO TOWN

Since the event of Judas in the Bible, there is the likelihood that Judas is always present in every twelve (12) especially when one is faced with the socio-religious moral burden of living, eating and drinking with people in a hemisphere.

That Aniekan Umanah is my elder brother from the same Local Government Area is an undisputable fact. But for him to act in the most distasteful conduct least expected of a Commissioner in the highly revered Executive Council of Chief Godswill Akpabio is a shock I find difficult to fathom.

Joining issues with people especially those that are older than me is not in my character. However, Aniekan Umanah belief that the office that he presently occupies gives him a blank cheque to misbehave and fight imagined enemies under the pretext of working for Governor Akpabio, hence the need to address him.

A fortnight ago, Chief (Dr.) Godswill Akpabio raised alarm of the present of Judases in his cabinet. Umana’s recent vituperations against my person has lend credence to Governor Akpabio thesis that Aniekan Umanah could be one of the Judases he so mentioned.

I wrote Commissioner Umanah a private letter not only as my elder brother but also as one of the political leaders in my Local Government Area, stating in clear terms my grievances which is not out of place as human. But what was supposed to be a private communication between two brothers has now become a case of Bishops fighting in the market place.

Instead of calling me as an elder brother would, to address issues raised in my letter, he deliberately leaked the letter to the press with the aim of impugning of my integrity and yet laying claim of being holier-than-thou.

He has by this act displayed a high sense of immaturity and clannishness. I am aware of his intention to blackmail me with one of the text messages we exchange between each other.

REAL ISSUES RAISED
I raised issues of Umanah arranging someone to impersonate me among other matters which I expected him to address. But instead of doing so, (because he claimed to have the monopoly of the press), he opted to show his media dexterity by buying pages of newspaper to attack my hard earned reputation with Tax Payers money with the intent of calling me a fraudulent person.

A CASE OF KETTLE CALLING A POT BLACK
There were certain issues I avoided in the letter due to my respect for Aniekan Umanah but since he has decided to clean his buttocks outside, it is necessary I put things straight the way they were.

As highlighted in my letter to Umanah, when I went to plead with him to take me to the governor so that my lawyer’s legal fees would be paid, he told me to my face that he blocked every access to the governor and destroyed my case because I refused to come and pay tithe to him when I first met the governor. That immediately confirmed the information at my disposal of how he had thwarted many people’s cases because they did not discuss financial terms with him {see my letter from paragraphs 8-17}.

Since I had decided to write him a letter informing him that I was aware of all what he had done to frustrate me, I discussed it with my lawyer who advised me to give him a banana peel should in case he gets provoked by my correctional letter just like he has done presently. That was the text message he is using to blackmail me.

An adage says that “a drowning man would hook on to anything to hang on, even a straw”. That is why Aniekan Umanah who is aware of my impeccable character is counting on a text message to besmirch my person forgetting that MTN Nigeria if probed can provide our communications through test messages. I only hope it doesn’t get to that point because if it does, he may be carrying a legal burden on his shoulders because I will not hesitate to legally fight and protect my reputation which I own and cherish to be greater than silver and gold.

WHERE IS MY BROTHER’S KEEPER?
I need to make known the various attempt to get Commissioner Umanah confirm all the accusations before my current letter to him. Exactly a year after I had won my case against TELL the extract below is the sms I sent him on August 3, 2013 at about 5.52pm. Inter alia:

My Honourable Commissioner Sir, today 3rd August is exactly one year that I won a case against TELL Magazine. You, my brother, who was suppose to protect my interest, intentionally and purposely deprived me from being rewarded by H.E. For two years I carried you along in all I did about that case, and you urged me on only for you to block every access I had and thwart my efforts. I have been jobless and hungry in this same government you saw my effort to protect with countless contribution in the media. I came to your house January 2012 with a drink for an appeal to assist me to secure an appointment in the Local Government Council. You accepted that drink, and till date you neither pick my call nor reply why you couldn’t help me. I have never received a cup of rice from you during Christmas or a gift of T-shirt before. If you will deprive me of my sweat and food on my table, Oga sir, please note that that Abak SOIL where both of us come from will sure SPEAK for me in this life. In life we survive by the grace of God and POWER comes from Him alone. I have waited for this day to bear my painful and sorrowful heart to you, if you could thwart my being rewarded by Obong Emem Akpabio or H.E, then one day my drink you accepted from me will speak for me in this same State. Brothers protect brothers. I am your brother and somebody’s child. I am not supposed to be hungry with all my efforts. God bless you. FredFish”.

Unfortunately my elder brother, Aniekan Umanah ignored my text message until I resurface this year, 4th January 2014 begging him to take me to the governor.

LAST LINE
Today all your brothers have been calling, sending text messages and accusing me of betraying you. As it stands, who betrayed who? God is watching.
